Precautions Regarding Oils

Precautions
Pure essential oils are highly concentrated and must be used with care, paying particular attention to the following recommendations:

Don't use undiluted on the skin

Don't take internally


Don't exceed the stated dose

Keep out of childrens reach

Keep away from eyes

Always consult your GP on cases of illnesses

If pregnant or epileptic seek medical advice

Don't use in conjunction with homeopathic remedies without advice.

Store in cool, dark conditions

Keep cap tightly closed

Oils to avoid

Pregnancy: Aniseed, Basil, Camphor, Clary Sage, Clove, Hyssop, Juniper, Marjoram, Myrr, Sage, Thyme.

Epilepsy: Camphor, Sweet Fennel, Hyssop, Sage.

High Blood Pressure: Hyssop, Sage, Thyme.

Prior to exposure to sunshine: Citrus Oils, Allspice Berry, Angelica Root,

With Alcohol: Clary Sage.

Babies and children
Babies and children can greatly benefit from the use of essential oils but care should be taken to use the oils in greater dilution. For older children use half the adult doseage and for babies and children under five use only one drop.
